About Me

I'm a Hoosier girl, living in Indianapolis, IN, with my mother and two spoiled rotten kitties.  I graduated from Ball State University in 1991, with a B.S. degree in exercise science.  I'm also a Chi Omega sorority alumnus, and a former Indianapolis Colts Cheerleader (1990, 1991 and co-captain in 1992).  I don't even want to discuss the team's record back then.  (Ahem!)

When I needed to make a career change to do something that required a lot of creativity and artistic ability, I went back to school in 1993 to earn an Associate's degree in interior design from the Int'l Academy of Merchandising and Design (Tampa, FL).  Tragically, however, I was paralyzed from the chest down in a terrible car accident on Sept. 11th, 1995.  I was only 27 years old.  It broke my heart that I would not be able to work as an interior designer - my dream job - due to my spinal cord injury leaving me without the use of my hands.

Thank goodness for the Internet! It has given me an outlet - a venue for expressing my creativity through web site development and graphic design, and has provided the opportunity for me to work from home, be my own boss and meet other people.  My hobbies include writing my auto-biography about my crazy life, and playing computer games, especially 'Bejeweled 2' and 'Scrabble Cubes.'  I'm trying to cut back on the games, though, so I don't spend all of my waking hours online!

If you have any questions or comments, please E-MAIL ME, and I'll do my best to reply within 48 hours.

My name is Cynthia Nord, but you can just call me "Cindy."  I developed my first web site in 2005, for my own non-profit organization, Cynthia's Hope fund.  Following that, I built a new site for my candle business, as well as some personal pages...and the ball kept rolling.  Over the past two and a half years, I've been an amateur "free-lance" web master, successfully designing and marketing e-commerce sites, mostly for family and friends.

Since 2006, I've also been creating unique, colorful graphic designs and witty sayings to print and sell over the Internet on casual apparel, such as t-shirts, sweatshirts and baseball caps, and on keepsake gifts, like tote bags, coffee mugs and magnets.  I offer personalization and customization, too.  All profits go to my charity.
