Design Your Web Developer Profile
General Instructions
For this round, we ask you to take the role of an aspiring web developer who wants to attract customers. Your challenge is to create a simple profile page that acts as your online resume or CV (curriculum vitae) for prospective clients.
The profile you design will do just that - serve as your profile for the Iron WebMaster competition! We will link to each of the round winners' profiles from the scoring section of the Iron WebMaster site.
You are free to design your profile page as you wish as long as it aptly describes you and inspires your visitors to check you out.
Specs
Here are the specific requirements for your Web Developer Profile:
- Keep your profile to just one page.
- Maximum space you can use, including images, is 50K.
- No external links, or externally generated/stored content on the page. Everything must be stored on the Iron WebMaster server. (Note: You can embellish your profile more after Round 1 has concluded.)
- You need to insert <!--iwmround1--> in your HTML within the <body>...</body> portion of the page. We suggest at the bottom. This will be replaced with voting and navigation code. The approximate sixe of the generated code is 500x70 (about like a banner ad).
- The design phase ends January 24, 3:00 PM PST.
- Upload your files at ftp.ironwebmaster.com. Use your Iron WebMaster ID and password to access the site.
- Your website will be found at http://www.ironwebmaster.com/~IWMID (replace IWMID with your ID).
