Iron WebMaster CompetitionDrum roll....Welcome to the innaugural Iron WebMaster competition. This contest is open to all qualified individuals (see rules for specific regulations) who choose to compete in our 5 part website design challenge that takes place over the next 12 weeks. At the conclusion of all five rounds, one contestant will stand victorious and claim the title of "Iron WebMaster". The competition format is as follows: Each round will feature a unique design challenge that each comptetitor must incorporate into their design. Design challenges might include a theme (ex. chocolate), a restriction (ex. file size limit) and so forth. As long as he/she works within the specified requirements, the designer is free to choose the look and feel of their entry. All sites must be hosted on the Iron WebMaster server. Each round will consist of three phases - sign up, designing, voting. each phase will last roughly one week. We'll overlap the signup and voting of rounds to keep things lively and interesting. During the signup phase we'll announce the general requirements of the design for that round and give competitors a chance to register. Once accepted each competitor will receive his/her own account and server space that he/she will use for hosting their entry. At the start of the designing phase we'll announce any last, specific, requirements and open up the Iron WebMaster server for uploading website materials (images, html, etc.). Once the designing phase has concluded we'll close off access to the Iron WebMaster server and voting will begin. Once the voting phase has started, no changes are permitted to the competing sites. Voting will take place through the host service, WebRing, where all competitor websites will be showcased by placing them in a WebRing Community created specifically for each round of the competition. Here the public can view and vote for their favorite website. A panel of "expert" judges will also review and rank the entries. At the conclusion of voting, we will announce the winners, award the prizes, and allocate points that will accrue for the overall competition! (Point allocaton for each round can be viewed here.)

Iron WebMaster Round 4 WinnersDead Heat For 2nd!First place was a clear favorite, but after that things tightened up. We had the next three tied for second place, the two after that tied for 5th!
